Right-wing activists from Hungary have held a protest in Brussels. It was to voice their anger at EU migration policy and criticism from the EUropean Commission directed towards the Hungarian government.
“This kind of initiation is against the European law, because there is no such kind of regulation, you know, defunding of the European countries cannot be depend on the position of the migration policy of the European Commission”
, said Tamás Gaudi-Nagy, activist-lawyer.
The protest follows a letter by a group of EU political figures calling for Hungary’s EU funds to be cut, unless more is done to ‘tackle corruption’ and ‘restore the rule of law’.
