The video shows one neighbour looking down the street before moving away from the road, shortly before the lorry bursts down the road, taking out the side of the blue van.
Crashing through parked vehicles, the grabbing arm on the back of the lorry, which had been resting against the firm’s office door as an anti-theft measure, violently swings forward.
It then flips over two vehicles and one car – a blue Vauxhall Corsa – which is dragged 50m down the road and then embedded in the front wall of a neighbour’s house.
Another 1 were also damaged in the incident, many of them beyond repair, as the lorry made off before it was dumped in the Hulse Estate area and torched.
The resident who filmed the footage on a fixed CCTV spoke to the Manchester Evening News and told of how neighbours were still in shock over what had happened.
He said: “We are still trying to come to terms with it. Everyone has been out on the street comforting each other and trying to be there for each other. It’s the one good thing that’s come of it.
