A gang flipped a police car on to its roof after officers left the car unattended, with the aftermath of the incident captured on camera.
The tipping came after officers spotted a scrambler bike being driven dangerously and followed it to a residential area of Kirkby in Merseyside.
While they were away a gang of estimated 30 youths flipped it on to its roof. The group then got a chase off the cops, as they ran towards the local Moorfield estate.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “At about 7.15pm, officers parked and left the car on Shevington’s Lane after they sighted an off-road bike being ridden in an anti-social manner nearby.
“While the two officers were away from the vehicle, a group of males turned it onto its roof.
“A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a police vehicle and taken into custody for questioning.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
