A new house was 3D-printed and assembled entirely on-site. Russian company Apis Cor wanted to showcase their new, mobile 3D-printer, so they printed the prototype entirely in a 24-hour period during Russia’s harsh winter. It’s the first residential building to be 3D-printed in one location. Other 3D-printers for buildings are limited due to size and price, meaning sections usually need to be built separately off-site and assembled later. But that’s not the case for this Apis Cor printer, making it something of a revolution in 3D tech.
